What is the Agent Advisory Committee (AAC)?
REALTORs® have a voice in helping to identify and prioritize NorthstarMLS® system improvements and enhancements. The Agent Advisory Committee (AAC) serves as that voice, representing all NorthstarMLS subscribers.
AAC membership reflects a representation of NorthstarMLS subscribers in a similar manner as the Board of Governors. The Associations and brokers appoint agents to a one-year term based on their use of the NorthstarMLS system and a balance of industry experience in the various property types. The 38-person committee meets quarterly.
The AAC Mission Statement is: A group of systems users that partners with NorthstarMLS staff and validates the most relevant issues as they pertain to real estate agent tools.
NorthstarMLS sets priorities based on many sources, including the associations, brokers and your calls to our Help Desk. The AAC validates or invalidates these priorities, assists with enhancements where agent preferences are involved, and evaluates potential new agent tools. There is a list of requested improvements and enhancements for NorthstarMLS, based mainly on your contacts with the Help Desk. Because resources are limited, the AAC will recommend which issues should take priority (based on their degree of impact on the majority of agents). While it's impossible to refine the system to perfectly meet the needs of each of our 13,000+ subscribers, the AAC is an important forum for NorthstarMLS to hear and respond to as many of your concerns as possible.
Requests for system enhancements should continue to go through the Help Desk.
